Description
The kidney is expanded and replaced by a multi-locular cyst with locules up to 3 cms. in diameter.
History
This child was admitted because of a mass in the right flank; his elder sister had had a kidney
removed for multi-cystic disease some two years before. Examination showed a firm mass palpable
in the right flank; intravenous pyelography showed the left kidney was normal, but that there was
gross distortion and displacement of the cavities on the right.
